Staying consistent

June 23, 2026

The hardest part of any protocol isn't the first week — it's week four, when the novelty is gone and life gets loud. Consistency isn't willpower; it's structure. Here's the structure that works.

Make the dose impossible to forget

  • One reminder time, kept sacred. Anchor doses to something you already do daily — coffee, brushing teeth, closing the laptop. FitPath's reminders fire as local notifications at the time you set per schedule.
  • Snooze instead of skip. Busy moment? Snooze the reminder rather than dismissing it. A dose taken an hour late beats a dose that never happens.
  • Log it the second it's done. Marking a dose complete takes one tap. An accurate history is what makes the rest of this possible.

Rotate sites deliberately

Injection-site rotation is easy to intend and easy to lose track of. Logging the site with each dose turns “where did I inject Tuesday?” from a memory exercise into a lookup, and the pattern stays visible over weeks.

Review weekly, adjust never (alone)

Once a week, glance at your history: adherence, skips, and inventory levels. If the data says the protocol isn't being followed, fix the structure — the reminder time, the anchor habit. If something about the protocol itself seems wrong, that conversation belongs with your clinician, with your real adherence data in hand.
